MEMBERS OF THE MONTH
Kindergarten Class – Mr. Matthew V.
Matthew is 5 years-old and attends Kindergarten at A.P. Morris Early Childhood Center. His favorite part of Project Learn is playing basketball during Gym. At school Matthew is very sociable and loves spending time with his friends. When Matthew grows up, he wants to be a Superhero so he could help people. Matthew’s counselors describe him as a hard-worker and a good listener. Matthew shows positive leadership skills and leads by example. Congratulations Matthew!
1st Grade Class – Ms. Arianna J.
Arianna is 6 years-old and attends school at A.P. Morris Early Childhood Center. Her favorite part of Project Learn is participating in arts & crafts activities. She loves to draw and color. Arianna’s favorite things to do in school are learning math and practicing her spelling words. When Arianna grows up, she wants to be a Veterinarian. Her favorite animals are dogs and cats. Arianna’s counselors describe her as intelligent, polite, and a great public speaker. She is always hard at work in school and at Project Learn. Congratulations Arianna!
2nd Grade – Mr. Michael M.
Michael is a hard working, dedicated, and passionate young man. He earned 52 stars by always being attentive, being a leader, completing his homework correctly by himself, and being a team player. Michael shows respect to not only his counselors but to each of the members at the Boys and Girls Club. He participates in every activity and excels when he is challenged. We have no doubt that Michael will continue to be an amazing example of a Boys and Girls Club Month Member.
2nd Grade Class – Ms. Kaila H.
Kaila is very driven, considerate, and hard working. She has earned 60 stars making her the member that has earned the most star in the whole year of 2011, setting a new bar. Kaila is a great listener, team player, compassionate, and oh so sweet. She pressures herself to be the best and Ms. Jamie, her counselor, has to remind her that it is ok to make a mistake as long as we do not give up if we did make them. Kaila holds the characteristics of what the Boys and Girls Club expect a LEADER to be. Polite, caring, and sharing to all in the site. Keep it up Kaila!!!!!
5th Grade – Ms. Ajanee W.
George Washington’s Student of the Month is Ajanee Wineglass. Ajanee is 10 years old and loves to dance. She participates in Made Stars Performing Arts Dance School and her favorite subject is gym. When she grows up she wants to be a dancer and/or vet
Ms. Kwyne Pugh
Kwyne is a 6-year-old first grade student. She attends school at AP Morris Early Childhood Center. She loves school and her favorite part of the day is getting to eat lunch with all of her friends. At Project Learn, Kwyne likes playing with her friends, especially when they play Soccer at gym time. When she grows up she wants to be a Veterinarian. Kwyne’s counselors nominated her as Member of the Month because she is a good listener, hard worker, and is always polite to others.
